What Chisel is
Chisel is a sourcing diagnostic. You tell it what you buy and what you pay; it compares those unit costs against researched market medians and reports where you look high. It is a research tool, not a purchasing system, and it does not place orders on your behalf.
What the numbers mean
Savings figures are estimates. They are produced by comparing what you entered against market pricing we researched for comparable items, and they assume the quantities and order frequency you gave us are accurate. They are not offers, not guarantees, and not a promise that any supplier will sell at that price. Actual pricing comes from a quote, which is prepared separately against real supplier pricing and may differ from the diagnostic.
Quotes and orders
A quote is valid for the period stated on it. Nothing enters production until you approve it. Any fee for preparing a quote is shown to you before it is charged, and you confirm it before anything is billed.
What you’re responsible for
The accuracy of what you enter. Chisel can only compare the numbers you give it, so a wrong unit cost or order quantity produces a wrong result. You also agree not to use the service to submit anyone else’s confidential information without the right to do so.
Your account and content
Your submissions stay yours. We use them to run your diagnostic, prepare quotes, and contact you about them, as described in the Privacy Policy. The site itself, its design, and the market research behind the benchmarks are ours.
Emails
Running a diagnostic means we email you about it: a confirmation when we receive it, and a second when the report is ready. Those are service messages about work you asked for, not marketing.
Ending it
You can ask us to delete your submissions at any time by emailing hello@wisemerch.com. We can suspend access for abuse of the intake form or the service.
Changes
Chisel is in private beta and these terms will change as the product and its legal review progress. Material changes will be posted here.
