What moves the price
For kraft paper, the drivers are coating type, gsm, friction coefficient, sheet size, print, flame resistance rating, coating system, printability — the same item can land at either end of the band depending on how those are specified.
Quoted wholesale pricing for kraft paper varies most by basis weight/GSM, roll width and length, and whether the product is plain brown kraft, printed, or specialty-coated. U.S.-facing routes that look realistic are domestic stock wholesalers for smaller MOQ ranges and China/Asia import suppliers for tonnage-level orders, where quoted FOB/ton prices convert to very low per-unit costs at high volume. For custom-printed or custom-sized rolls, setup, cores, and packaging usually push the per-unit cost above commodity kraft-sheet or jumbo-roll pricing.
