What moves the price
For led, the drivers are material, thickness, finish, hole pattern, load rating, tray compatibility, microvia count, laser drill size — the same item can land at either end of the band depending on how those are specified.
For discrete LEDs, the published factory pricing is driven mainly by package type (SMD versus through-hole), power/brightness bin, color, and whether the part is standard catalog stock or custom-binned/printed. Real supplier routes are direct manufacturers and major B2B marketplaces; the clearest published bulk quotes here are from a Shenzhen factory page showing 0.2W SMD LED prices at 10k/50k/200k units, plus broader wholesale LED price directories that confirm sub-$0.50 unit pricing at low MOQs. Lead times on factory bulk LED orders are typically very short for standard parts, but custom bins, trays, or special reels can extend them.
