What moves the price
For business card, the drivers are burnout residue, material, print resolution, green strength, compatibility with investment casting, page count, binding, carbon copy — the same item can land at either end of the band depending on how those are specified.
For standard custom business cards, the biggest price drivers are paper stock/thickness, finish, and whether printing is single- or double-sided; specialty effects like foil, embossing, spot UV, and soft-touch finishes move pricing up materially.
